- Adverse drug reactions identified during post-marketing experience for Microlax® by frequency category, estimated from spontaneous reported adverse events
- Gastrointestinal Disorders (frequency not known): Abdominal pain, anorectal discomfort
- Immune System Disorders (frequency not known): Hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. urticaria); isolated cases of anaphylactic reactions, including hypotension, bronchospasm and angioedema have been reported
- Adequate and well controlled studies with pregnant women are lacking. As this medicine is likely to have limited systemic absorption at the recommended use, no untoward effects are expected during use in pregnancy and breastfeeding
- The risk of dependence is extremely small
